For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Lots of behavior changes in the last 3 days. I suspect egg(s) have hatched but have not verified that. Pauline is frequently standing on the nest, today she has continually pecked down into the nest. Bob has been glued to his marsh post when he is not fishing. She is now flying over to the marsh post and he immediately flies in to the nest. Both adults are eating fish together in the nest.

Other Activity: OSPR was incubating when I arrived, then flew away, returned a few mins later & immediately settled back into the nest. Did not have food visible in beak or claws.

Other Activity: Olivia was on the edge of the nest & it looked like she was tending to chicks down in the nest. This new nest is deep so it will take time to see a chick popping up. The past few days she has been spending more time up on the nest rather than down incubating so hopefully there are chicks. The other day while Ollie was standing guard she brought a stick back to the nest.

Other Activity: both ospreys were perched on the platform, one on the perching post and one on the platform.

General Comments: my friend told me that he had also seen them between 7 am and 8 am, there were both gone when I passed the platform again at 11 am
