For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: Ollie & Olivia were both on the nest and I could see 2 chicks being fed. It's the first sighting of chicks!

Other Activity: Male is perched on the perch on the nest platform. Female is perched on the nest and is holding out her wings to shade the chicks. Definitely saw two chicks today, one much larger than the other.

Observation Method: from bedroom window

General Comments: This pair laid eggs early and hatched early. Looking good. Seeing alot of small pogies being brought to the nest.

Other Activity: 1 bird down in nest but active - feeding self? second bird flew back&forth bringing in sticks, working them into the nest

General Comments: I think this is the largest nest I've ever seen, and they started it from scratch this year!

General Comments: nest looks just like it has for three weeks in a row, so I won't be making drives down to this site - maybe next year the pair will persevere...
