For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: both chicks being fed by female; one appears to eat more aggressively than the other around 10:42 male flies to nest and stays for a while, then moves to post above nest both adults seem distracted by something flying above them and they are "chirping" about 10:45 male takes remainder of fish and flies back to staging post

Other Activity: The chicks are now climbing up to the side of the nest and I can see their whole bodies. After feeding the chicks, the mother forms an umbrella with her wings to shield them from the sun.

Other Activity: One adult OSPR arrived with a fresh catch and gave it to his mate. She immediately started eating and feeding the two nestlings. The mate remained perched on the nest during the feeding.

Other Activity: Ollie and a visitor were flying around & then Olivia left the nest for a minute to help Ollie chase him away & went right back to the nest. I haven't seen the chicks since last week but Olivia is always on the nest. This new nest is deep so it isn't as easy to see little heads.
