Where are Osprey Nesting?

For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Observed from Brophy. One osprey was perched in the nest and one on a nearby tree. Then the one in the nest left.

Other Activity: As I paddled near Great Bank, I could see Dilly, with one osprey perched on the nearby post.

Other Activity: One osprey was perched in the nest and one on the post. No chicks were visible. The osprey on the nest started calling before I got anywhere near it, so I continued on to Great Bank and decided to check it later.

Other Activity: One osprey was perched in the nest, softly calling and one on the post. I did not see any chicks in the nest, and did not observe any behavior that looked like the osprey in the nest was interacting with chicks.

Other Activity: As I paddled out, I could see one adult on the nest. It started calling and the second one flew up from the marsh into the nest. I could not see chicks, so I continued past to check later.
