For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: 75F, Sunny and wind calm

Other Activity: One perched high on the point of the dayboard, the other squatted down in the nest. Look like old pros, this may be the year for them.

Observation Method: on foot by scope

General Comments: I will be away the next two weeks. I hope someone is tempted to watch them . They are best seen from Hospital Point (end of Bayview which is end of E Corning in Beverly. Really do need a scope.

Other Activity: Both on the nest when I arrived. One left soon after and returned some time later with a twig.

General Comments: I will be away the next two weeks. I hope someone is tempted to watch them . They are best seen from the end of the parking lot at the Forest River Park.

Other Activity: One osprey was perched on the nest when I arrived. It flew around for a bit and returned to the nest. The other osprey arrived just before I left and settled on a rock (it was low tide) just below the nest.
