For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: three juvs in nest calling, calling, calling; one adult flew in with fish and began feeding them

General Comments: I'm counting as "Fledgling" only juvs I see evidence of flight, otherwise I'm counting them as "Nestlings" - hope that is correct

Other Activity: One OSPR was perched on nest; a 2nd OSPR flew in and landed. Both were perched for the entire time. Appeared to be fledglings - the 2nd OSPR flapped its wings a few times and held them away from its body for 10 mins or so (sort of like cormorants do).
