Other Activity: Female on the nest in parasol stance. One chick visible by her wing. I am assuming the second chick was just not visible as I saw them both Thursday afternoon. Interloper and male had a non-contact skirmish in the air. Male chased him/her off. Fence workers still at the base of the pole causing a lot of squawking but not as bad as last week.

Observation Method: on foot in the park

General Comments: Horrified by the Haverhill sewage disaster and very worried about the river and the wildlife it supports as well as the entire ecosystem. Worried for our eagles and ospreys all along the river.

Osprey Feeding Chicks

Location, Date & Time of Observation:
2026-06-29

Number of Adults Visible: 2

Number of Nestlings Visible:

Number of Fledglings Visible:

Weather Conditions: 66f, wind 5mph, slight clouds.

Other Activity: Quiet!

Observation Method: Home

General Comments: He on perch, she busy in nest. I gather the neatling(s) are ok. She moves around in the nest throughput the day, so presume the chick or chicks in nest. She’s busy at times, otherwise quiet. Definitely need a nest check when you are on the tagging mission. Let me know if 1 or 2. When he takes her place, it isn’t for too long. He currently is on guard duty from the far perch.
