For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Current resident female perched on the nest on platform 1. A second female flew near and provoked a threat from the perched female. Another pass dislodged the resident female. Who commenced a chase. They were soon joined by a third osprey carrying a fish (probably the current resident male). Soon three additional ospreys joined the melee or circling birds. Eventually one of the osprey landed on platform 2 and the other 5 continued to climb higher and eventually disappeared.
