For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Two osprey present. Female in nest and male flew in with breakfast. He landed in the nest and gave her some then took it down to the marsh. Light preening as he watched me. I was trying to see his band, which is silver and on the right leg.

Other Activity: Dave R and I were talking when he saw an osprey flighting near the platform and landed. By the time we finished our conversation, there were two on the platform. Wish I had my eyes on both platforms to see if it was the nesting pair in #2
