For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: One was perched on the nest for a while. Then he or she flew away and came back with a fish.

Other Activity: one bird on post perch, one down in nest - assumed she was incubating, all I could see was the head

General Comments: lots and lots of Brant feeding along edge of channel

Other Activity: one bird down deep in nest - I assumed she's incubating; second bird down in grasses nearby, then flew up to nest, fed itself, copulated with female, flew off, returned with huge talon-full of marsh grass, then flew over to post perch

Other Activity: No sign of Osprey nest building, and did not see an Osprey in the area.

Observation Method: Vehicle, and getting out onto the road. Visited before and after monitoring Sawyer Island osprey nest.
