For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Initially 1 osprey was perched on the high perch and then moved into the nest. It was hard to tell if the adult was interacting with nestlings or just poking into the nest. A second adult arrived and was shifting a large stick on the outside of the nest.

Other Activity: Notable that the female was seen on two successive visits sitting down quietly in the nest (hopefully on egg[s]). Male was right next to her on nest pole perch.

General Comments: This is the first time that the male and female have been observed (by this spotter) to be so close together for so long.

General Comments: Olivia was settled down in the nest for the whole 2 hours and then some. I'm hoping that she is incubating. Ollie was in a nearby tree and then a visitor arrived so Ollie chased him away.
