For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Female sitting deep in the nest. The male is chasing away an intruding female and circling to the north.
Observation Method: from bedroom window
General Comments: Generally quiet with the male feeding the female on the nest, but most every day another female intrudes and is chased away.

Other Activity: One incubating on the nest, other eating on nearby piling. After eating, this latter preened and remained idle on the piling for the next 15 min when we left.

General Comments: The one on the piling looked likely to be the female but it seemed like a long lunch break.
