For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Did not see any Osprey near the nest area. Couldn't get as close as usual, because of all the water covering the marsh.
Observation Method: on foot, while observing Brophys platform. Water was everywhere!

Weather Conditions: 64 degrees, fog is lifting, blue skies & some clouds, absolutely beautiful, very high tide! Breezy on the marsh.
Other Activity: Osprey incubating on the nest. Osprey chips heard. The male stopped by, landing on the nest and taking off right away. He soared around the nest area and over head for 10 minutes. At 11:36 , he landed on the nest perch. They were both on the nest, when I left.

Other Activity: One Osprey in incubation posture in the nest. Lots of bird life in the area!
Observation Method: on foot. Amazing! Water, water everywhere, all over the marsh! I hadn't seen it to this extent before. (super full moon last night) Could not walk out onto the marsh, end of Island Rd under water. Found a nice big rock to perch on!
