09:30 AM to 10:00 AM

Number of Adults Visible: 1

Number of Nestlings Visible: 2

Number of Fledglings Visible:

Weather Conditions: 67 degrees, overcast, breezy

Other Activity: I heard the adult while I was approaching the observing site, but I did not see it. When I got the scope on the nest it at first appeared empty. After a while I could see at least 2 nestlings moving about occasionally, but they mostly stayed out of site in the nest. After about 15 minutes I heard the adult vocalizing again. This time I spotted her perched in a tree nearby. For the final 10 minutes that I was observing she started flying around in circles and vocalizing. At one point she was harassed by a smaller bird. At no time during the 30 minutes that I was observing did she land on the nest.

Observation Method: On foot with spotting scope
