For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: 81 ℉ Clear sky with small clouds at horizon; no breeze
Other Activity: One adult on nest sometimes looking around & at other times bobbing head down toward bottom of nest; 2nd adult landed on nest and dropped something in; then 1st adult started tearing off pieces and was eating; although I couldn't see for sure, it appeared that this adult was also putting some food down into nest; #2 remained on a nearby branch just looking around & fending off a red-winged blackbird which was pestering by intermittently flying into osprey

General Comments: I think that there are one or more babies in the nest!
