For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: Perfect. Sunny, 76 degrees with wind gusts to 19.

Other Activity: One adult circling the nest. One adult above the nest in the tower One nestlings head above the nest ridge. Lots of vocalizing by both adults

Other Activity: Observed one bird on the nest standing, not incubating, so I didn't get a good feeling about the sighting. The male (?) was on the post with a fish.

General Comments: What happened to the eggs? I get the feeling the nest failed again.

General Comments: Back on the watch today. I'm pretty sure there are 2 (at least) chicks in the nest, but hard to confirm. I'll go out this week with the ladder and check, and will report, Jim

Weather Conditions: 71 F, SSE 13 MPH, 0% cloud cover

Other Activity: Initially 1 adult was in the nest. The second came in about 10 minutes later and stayed for several minutes. When we passed by the nest the second time, one adult was perched in a tree near the nest, and the second was in and then flew off the nest. No nestlings were visible as we passed close to the nest.

Observation Method: from Crane boat launch and then by kayak
