For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Adult #1 on nest; adult #2 flew in and perched on nest, possibly dropping food into nest (not observed); both adults stayed perched on nest rim; #1 kept bobbing head down into nest.

General Comments: I think that #1 was feeding youngsters in nest, but it was too deep to see.

Other Activity: When I first arrived the female flew from the nest. The male was perched below eating a fish. One nestling was visible. The female returned a few minutes later and sat in the nest. I did not see any other nestlings but they could be there.
