For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Male parent osprey and the one fledgling sharing the nest. Female parent osprey came by, and dropped off a fish for them; and then sat on the nearby perch.

General Comments: Fledgling is almost as big as the Male parent.

Other Activity: One fledgling sitting on nest just looking around; another fledgling flew in and sat on adjacent pole on light fixture; both just sitting & didn't seem to be interacting; then #2 flew away; no other activity

General Comments: I am not certain that these osprey were fledglings (& not adults) but I think they were for two reasons: 1. the colors of one were yellowish on head and chest with brownish body (I had not observed this on an adult previously) and 2. they both seemed a little smaller than the adults reported earlier.
