For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Bob, the male, was spotted Sunday afternoon. for the last 2 days, he sat on the marsh post looking South. Pauline came in this afternoon. Bob was so excited he flew and swooped circles around her as she sat in the nest. they went fishing together and now they are eating in the nest.

Other Activity: Osprey observed mating on Platform 1. Are also perching together on platform 2 at 3:45 pm. They've been in residence all day.

General Comments: I was out of town and just returned last night. My neighbor reported to me that the first osprey appeared at Ring's Island on March 27.
