Where are Osprey Nesting?

For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: Mostly sunny, 70s.

Other Activity: Can now confirm there are two chicks! Both adults on and around nest for duration of visit. Mother was feeding chicks when I arrived. Father brought in sticks to build up the sides of nest. Appear to be about two- three weeks old. There was a third adult flying around. Came close to nest. Male chased him off. Happy to see this nest produce two offspring again. Hopefully all goes well.
