For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Seems like Squam is continuing his pattern of "decorating" the nest with various non-vegetative stuff. I find it amusing that he likes objects that are eye-catching like flattened cans, plastic, paper, etc. Over the weekend (when camera on line) I observed both birds numerous times -- nest building.

Weather Conditions: 55 degrees, cloudy, thick distant ocean fog, low tide, light wind

Other Activity: Female perched on separate pole perch and male sitting 50 yards away on the marsh grass.

Observation Method: On foot with binoculars

General Comments: Male flew off, and female sat on the nest perch

General Comments: Bob and Pauline have been working very hard on their nest. They are adding much more in marsh grass than in past years. I hope they are making positive changes to prevent what happened last year. The nest was attacked overnight in a full moon. Two chicks were lost and the side of the nest was torn down.

General Comments: Noted one Osprey landing on nest yesterday, it only stayed briefly and then departed.

Other Activity: One perched high on the point of the dayboard, the other squatted down in the nest. Look like old pros, this may be the year for them.

Observation Method: on foot by scope

General Comments: I will be away the next two weeks. I hope someone is tempted to watch them . They are best seen from Hospital Point (end of Bayview which is end of E Corning in Beverly. Really do need a scope.

Other Activity: Both on the nest when I arrived. One left soon after and returned some time later with a twig.

General Comments: I will be away the next two weeks. I hope someone is tempted to watch them . They are best seen from the end of the parking lot at the Forest River Park.
