For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: female at platform nest, male flew in, copulation attempted; a third bird flew in, the male left the nest and the two flew around the platform area, one went down in nearby grasses, the other flew to the nest and attempted copulation

General Comments: the light was very good - several nest platforms could be seen in the distance across the river, with quite a few Osprey in the area

General Comments: The nest activity has moved from Trinity Stadium [that still has the fake Bald Eagle on the light pole] to Riverside Park next door. First light pole nest now has small fake Peregrine/raptor installed next to it. Second light pole nest to the south has considerable nesting material.

General Comments: Met up with Kim Smith who said she was by this morning and there was a 3rd Osprey intruder in the area. Also, she said earlier this week there was and Eagle in the area. Both Osprey chased the eagle away.

General Comments: male on marsh perch, female on nest. Male flew over to the nest looking like they were tending to eggs. Mating took place then he flew off to the tree to the right.
