For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: The osprey(s) have moved two light stands to the right since I was here four days ago. The nest with the decoy is still there but no activity. One osprey was on the new nest. Was perched them flew off to the river. No sign of second. This is at Riverside park where they were last year with two fledglings.

General Comments: Dave, you were right! They found a new light pole on which to build a nest on the same ballfield but farther off the main road into the Stadium. The original nest was unoccupied.
