For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Female's head just barely visible at top of nest. Probably sitting on egg(s).

General Comments: Male was nowhere to be seen during the observation time.

Other Activity: Apparently male, perched high on day board, flew off briefly then returned and stayed the whole time. No other osprey there. What I had thought was another previously turned out to be a shape in the nest that was only visible in outline. Better visibility today shows it not to be an osprey.
