For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Male was on the nest/egg(s), and female was sitting on a glacial erratic 50 yards from the nest.
Observation Method: On foot with binoculars.
General Comments: Then they traded places, and the male flew off, probably in search of a fish to eat.

Weather Conditions: 64 degrees, windy, high tide, wildfires from Canada creating the cloudy skies.
Other Activity: One Osprey incubating on the nest, re-arranging a few times. The other Osprey was perched on the bottom left platform support the entire visit. Gulls were about - sky and "walking" on the marsh in the nest area.
Observation Method: On foot, I first observed from the grassy hill- gains height to see the nest well. Then I went down the dirt path and onto the marsh to observe as well. Glad to see the 2 Ospreys. I wish them well.
General Comments: Also, the disc platform is not on the pole on Patmos Rd.

Other Activity: Female sitting on nest. I have not seen the male this afternoon.
Observation Method: Watched from deck looking at Ten Pound
General Comments: The male has been spending a lot of time coming and going and sits on trees on the Island. This is the longest period I have not seen the male.

General Comments: The pair have been spending a lot of time together on the nest. Pauline will leave the nest for a quick dip in the salt panne while Bob remains on guard.

Other Activity: Adult was perched on boat near nest. He/she flew out over the water, dove feet first to water, captured fish and flew across the water. He/she did not return to nest and I could not see if he/she dropped the fish or brought it somewhere else to eat.
Observation Method: Binoculars and Scope. On foot at Jetty at Independence Park
General Comments: Unable to see if there was another adult in the nest
