For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Female (I assume) head seen on nest (?) while male (?) sat further below on pylon. It was eating something. About 5:25 another joined the one on pylon. I can't confirm there was a bird in the nest all this time. The osprey was periodically mobbed by crows. The osprey had something in its talons.

Other Activity: 2nd osprey on marsh perch chicks were vocalizing loudly stretching heads upward and opening mouths wide. Usually when I inspect a nest with chicks they are flattened as low as possible and silent.
