For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: two ospreys flying fairly near nest, one circled and landed, a minute later the 2nd one landed with fish in talons. !st one bent down and was, I think, feeding chicks since I saw chick s last week, though not this week.

General Comments: The female of this pair has been roosting for close to a month, regularly rotating direction to face into the wind. Male stands off nearby, periodically disappearing to forage.
