Where are Osprey Nesting?
For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: This was an interesting visit. One osprey in nest, then two...they mated. Two other osprey were screaming in the marsh, swooping and flying at a 3 year old bald eagle who was just sitting there...maybe eating a fish. Eventually the osprey calmed down, although the eagle stayed....two of the osprey flew to a tree area to the left of the nest, still calling out.
