For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: 2 chicks are very robust, probably the most advanced of the local nests, fully owns with some feathers starting to emerge; one chick much smaller, with just a tiny amount of down starting to emerge, no breathing visible. 2nd adult was perched on piling of former camp.

Other Activity: I've tuned in several times today and noted Annie feeding the chicks. The oldest two are always vying for the food, but the last chick to hatch doesn't seem interested in fighting for any food. Is this troubling? or normal?

General Comments: It appears this nest has failed yet again. The pair is now nest building over at the Wingaersheek Salt Marsh platform nearby.

General Comments: This platform has had no activity at all this year until now, and I believe the pair building has moved here from the Farm Creek platform after their clutch again. Fingers crossed!

Other Activity: 2 adult osprey very active. Both flying in and out of nest. One swooped down several times to the water and then caught a fish and returned to the nest.

Observation Method: On foot on beach near tower. High tide prevented me from walking closer. Could see well with binoculars and I was able to get some pictures of the Osprey flying.
