For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: One adult osprey visible in nest. It was difficult to see due to the weather and the binoculars kept fogging. Did not see another adult in the area.
Observation Method: On foot from Independence Park jetty with binoculars.

Other Activity: 1 adult sitting on lamp near nest, looking around. No sign of anything in nest until adult hops onto nest. Think I saw one small head pop up but nothing more.

Other Activity: not sure if there were 1 or 2 ospreys because one was perched on nest and then flew off. then a few minutes later the same or another one landed on the perch over the nest and stayed there, at least while I was watching.

Other Activity: Both adults were perched on nest. One flew off and appeared to fish but could not confirm if he/she caught anything.
Observation Method: On foot at end of pier by ferry landing with binoculars and camera
General Comments: Very excited to see this new nest thriving. There is a good view from the ferry landing and I will continue to observe.
