For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: 1 bird laying down on nest, other stopped by twice, 2nd time brought something small covered in seaweed, no fish seen.

Other Activity: One vird sitting on the nest while the other was first on the nest, but later nearby. He came back to the nest briefly but did not bring a fish.

Observation Method: On foot at the marina.

Weather Conditions: Warm and clear, no wind. Low tide.

Other Activity: One bird was on the nest, incubating. The other came back with a big fish but flew by the nest and landed on the base of the channel marker (low tide). Then he flew off again and went to eat the fish on a nearby sailboat. He didn't go back to the nest while I was there.

Observation Method: On foot from Independence Park beach.
