For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: First sighting of the year at this location. The osprey was sitting on the nest. A second osprey was soaring around the general area.
Observation Method: On foot
General Comments: It is shocking how low and loud the flights from Logan come to this location. The flight path is nearly right over the top of this platform. Plenty of sea and marsh birds sighted nearby.

Other Activity: One osprey (female) on nest, then 2nd (male, smaller) landed for maybe 2 minutes then took off again, landed again and let, then back and took off, female calling, then female left too.

Other Activity: One osprey on nest, then another landed then 3rd one tried to land and other two flew off and one chased 3rd away. female came back. Then male came back and they mated, then he flew off again, back after few minutes, and landed again.

General Comments: 2nd time this season I've seen 3rd osprey try to land on nest and get chased away!
