For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: Two Osprey sighted. One initially perched one pole to the south of the platform. Soon, it moved to the platform as another moved to the original pole.
Observation Method: On foot and viewed from Rt 107 pullout area.
General Comments: Nice to be able to observe this platform from a fixed location (pullout area on Rt. 107) and not via a speeding vehicle!

Weather Conditions: light breeze, scattered clouds, blue sky, picture-perfect
Other Activity: 2:51 - 3:10PM Upon arrival both Mr. and Mrs O were on the third pole from the house. Mr. O had a fish. He would not share again. Mrs O came quite close to stealing the fish and Mr. O lifted it up and flew off in a circle around the pole and landed on the other side of Mrs O and continued to eat. Mrs O continued to go after Mr O's fish and he continued to elude her with it. He flew off again making a nice circle around by the house for some nice photo ops. He landed again on the phone pole on Ferry Road to finish his meal. 5Pm-5:18P Male and female were both on the first platform behind the house, she flew off the perch over to the third pole from the right. Also noted that the male is banded and the female is not. The male joined the female at the third pole where they were observed mating again.

General Comments: Please note all reports to date are for the SAL-01 platforms, I didn't realize until I finished this report that I missed that field and also the Town defaulted to my hometown, all should be Salisbury!

Other Activity: 10:30 2 adults visible on nest, then one visible on nest 10:45: one on nest, one lower on pylon with fish, eating stayed like this until end of observation period

Other Activity: One on nest/platform. The other perched below. Another Osprey flew by to seemingly check the availability of the platform.

General Comments: Easy parking near entry to the marsh. There's now a bit of a path to the marsh to access a clear viewing area.

Other Activity: One Osprey observed in nest. The 2nd was perched lower down on the light tower structure.
Observation Method: On foot from adjoining large parking area.
General Comments: The Osprey in the nest was very vocal!

Other Activity: While one Osprey was initially visible on platform, another was actively gathering nesting materials. The gathering occurred within 20-30 yards of Platform SAU-03 and bringing material out to REV-01.
Observation Method: On foot.
General Comments: Parked in pullout area on Rt. 107. scooted through break in fence to setup spotting scope.

General Comments: Haven't seen the pair on this platform for 3-4 days. they appear to have moved to the new platform, but I do not see signs they are building a nest. I will be out of town thru 4/20

Weather Conditions: 69 degrees; partly cloudy; light breeze; almost low tide; bright sun
Other Activity: Female flying around and then sitting on the platform; sometimes with her wings outstretched. Male flew around the platform, and soared above, landing once on a branch in a red maple tree and then on the platform perch at the same time that the female was on the platform. No nest has been built.
Observation Method: On Middle Road in my car with binoculars.
General Comments: The two osprey were on the platform together for a very short time, and then flew off in different directions. It appeared as though there were a few more sticks on the platform than were visible at the last visit.
