General Comments: I see this post many times each day. Clearly there is a pair of birds connected to this nest. It is possible that there are eggs present, but no way to confirm. It seems the female is perched or in the nest most of the time. The nest is rarely left untended. Both birds clearly defend this nest when other osprey turn up.

Other Activity: Both birds were very active. It was spectacular to observe. Initially one flew to the nest to join the bird perched and I thought it may have a fish. However, with further observation they both flew away from the nest and returned with materials for the nest. One then flew down on to the sandbar directly below the nest and stayed there for over 10 minutes. He then flew off and returned to the nest after several minutes.

Observation Method: In vehicle and on foot at beach by Jubilee Yacht club with binoculars.
