For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: I do not see them building up the nest but it is full from last summer and also very small in size. The two can barely fit on it at the same time.

Other Activity: Today marks one week for Pauline sitting in the nest. The pair have done a better job concealing her than in past years. You can barely see the top of her head. Last night’s moon light was very bright and I was glad she had better protection from owls etc.

Other Activity: Although I did not see the adult bird leave the nest for a short time, I could not see it for a while. However the bird's head popped up above the nest edge, making me conclude that it was just down deeper into nest when I thought it had left.
