For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: Both on nest. When in the nest hard to spot due to height of pole and depth of nest. No other osprey around today. Was there yesterday too - male flying around and didn’t see female but I’m thinking she may have been in the nest.

Weather Conditions: Sunny, overcast, raining...typical quick weather change!

Other Activity: I was not able to id for sure but assume it was the female as per usual sittingon pole number three awaiting her mate. She was preening and then started calling and manteling upon seeing what I assume was her mate flying off in the distance. I was videoing her when this happened because I found the manteling interesting where she was alone, but eventually another Osprey flew into the frame, however, he did not land and disappeared from sight. It started to rain so I departed. Observations were made from Ferry Road.
