For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: 55 degrees; rain, heavy at times; light wind; tide low and coming in.
Other Activity: Osprey pair sitting near one another on the same red maple tree as my last observation. After 10 minutes or so, female flew off and around a little, and landed on the platform nest.
Observation Method: At two locations on Middle Road in my car; with binoculars.
General Comments: Female poked at the sticks on the nest for a while during the heavy rain. Nest seems a little more robust than at my last observation, but there are still no eggs.

Other Activity: Female sitting deeply in the nest pocket. Male left nest and flew to platform #2. Got some nesting material. Flew off and went to get nesting material for #1. Quiet for a bit, then he flew off to the river. Still only believe there are the three.

Other Activity: Female sitting low in the nest with her head just barely visible. Male sitting on the detached pole perch.
Observation Method: On foot with binoculars.
General Comments: An egret landed near the male's pole perch, and the male moved to the perch on the nest platform.
