For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: I observed 1 osprey on the edge of the nest, looking into the nest, and also in the nest but not "incubating" per se. I'm wondering if there are chicks, but I didn't see any heads. Will look more this weekend to see if I can get a better look or longer observation.

Other Activity: One Osprey was visible in the nest moving about a bit but mostly only the birds head could be seen. It appeared to be busying itself with activity in the nest and around 710a another adult came up out of the nest and flew off. He/she did not reappear during the time I was observing.
Observation Method: On foot at Salem Ferry pier with binoculars. Observed from several angles and locations on the pier.

Other Activity: I was only able to confirm that there was one adult bird in the nest. The adult was busy in the nest and his/her head continuously bobbed up and down during the entire time I was watching the nest. It would disappear often for 30 seconds or more and then raise up again. I then went to the beach by Planters St but could not see any other activity.
Observation Method: In vehicle and on foot with binoculars at the end of Osgood Street and at the end of Planters St.
