For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. General Comments: Looking over at the Wingaersheek Saltmarsh Platform I could see an Osprey, I believe a female, just sitting there. She remained there the entire time I was observing. I kept wondering if she would fly back over to the Farm Creek Platform, where I originally reported her incubating eggs. I suspect they were taken out by a predator. That nest is never lucky.

Other Activity: Female standing on the side of the nest. Male on the nearby perch pole eating a fish which he gave to the female, and flew off.
Observation Method: On foot with binoculars.
General Comments: Female bobbed up and down on the nest, as if feeding pieces of fish to young ones down in the nest. Next she settled down into the center of the nest with her head just barely visible.

Other Activity: 2 Osprey observed. Nest appears to have fallen down. One Osprey perched on far power pole and the other on marsh located crossbar perch

General Comments: One was on the perch that is on the nest platform. The other was standing on the nest eating. She could have been feeding chicks but I couldn't see any little heads.
