For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: Warm, very light breeze, a light fog in the air
Other Activity: One fledgling was in the nest while the 2 adults were doing "flight school". One was flying high with a fish then swooping down, probably teaching the behavior. The f (?) came back to the nest to check on the one still in there. They greeted, she brought food, then she flew off again to be with the others, and the one in the nest hunkered down.
Observation Method: On foot at Independence Park.
General Comments: There is a concert in Salem Willows so maybe that has the little one scared??

Other Activity: Female and 2 young initially on nest, male arrived and left. Young ones fed. When "Fame" shot it's cannon, the female left and then also the two fledglings. These two returned soon after and continued feeding.
