For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Bob and Pauline have been enjoying the good life. For the past 4 days, they have been hanging out on the nest and on the marsh perches, and eating fish together on the nest.

General Comments: I heard a great horn owl hooting this morning. I hope they dont intend to stay.

Other Activity: Barely enough visibility to see over to Round Island. Just enough to see an osprey on the nest perch. It is possible there was an osprey in the nest as well. When viewed from Argilla Rd, there were 2 and this is the first day I have observed any osprey at the nest.

Weather Conditions: Rainy, 38 degrees. light wind, fairly clear view even in light rain, but not clear enough to see Dilly.

Other Activity: First day I have observed any osprey at Great Bank. Both osprey were standing in the nest, but the view was not clear enough to see if there was any nest building happening. That nest had so few sticks and other material last year.
