For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Assuming prior chick(s?) are still in nest. Lots of chirping but no other activity besides the flight loop around the marsh and back. No nestlings sighted.
Observation Method: Walked to the rear of the MBTA Repair Facility and viewed platform with Binoculars - through the chain link fence. Walked around the corner of the facility in hopes to sight the male. No luck.

Weather Conditions: 68 degrees. cloudy light wind
Other Activity: One adult osprey was in nest but very visible above rim and there was another smaller head visible in nest. I was not sure if it was an adult or baby but about 5 mins into the observation another adult returned to the nest with something in mouth. Then it did appear there were two smaller heads in the nest.
Observation Method: on foot with binoculars and viewer at Independence Park.
