For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Observation Method: On foot with scope.

General Comments: Male flew in with lunch. I watched the female feed herself for 10 minutes before offering any to chicks. Then, she fed only one, the smallest. Interesting. A mother knows. Lots of wing flapping by the largest chick, a bit by the middle child, nothing on the little peep. She'll get there! So wonderful to observe! Thanks, Dave, for such an awesome program!
