For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: Squam on far pole; 2 chicks in nest -- doing some wing flapping. Both look to be similar in size now; their in-coming feathers are more prominent. Annie arrives on nest - no food for the young. All seems to be going accodring to plan.

Observation Method: On foot with scope.
General Comments: Male bringing food in. There was a bit of wing flapping, but not as impressive as a few days ago. I was only able to see two nestlings. Perhaps the bird that was flapping its wings so heavily has already fledged. It's also possible the little guy was down low.

Weather Conditions: 79 degrees, sunny, wind SSE at 11 mph, tide dead low and rising
Other Activity: When I arrived I could see only one adult, which was in the nest. I couldn’t see any chicks. A minute later, the other adult flew into the nest with a fish. Still no chicks visible. The two adults did not eat the fish right away. They both just looked around side to side and up in the air. After a while, the male ate a little then flew down to the post. The female waited a couple minutes more and then started eating. No chicks seemed to be in the nest.
