For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: I observed at first two birds in the nest watching the adult flying. That bird was doing what I think of as "flying lessons" - flying low and near the nest, calling. One bird in the nest hopped and flew a little bit close to the nest, then came back. One stayed in the nest. Eventually 2 flew off and one remained. I am still unsure whether we have 1 or 2 fledglings. I suspect 2 and one is just a little younger than the other. Will check again in the morning.

Other Activity: Adult perched on edge of nest, flew off and circled and came back to nest and was calling. Then left again circled higher and longer than first time, calling, before coming back to nest.
