For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: I first observed 2 birds sitting on the nest, then one (presumably the adult) flew off. I heard the nestling calling but I didn't see the adult around. A few minutes later, the nestling became a fledgling!! Small flight, then came back. I don't know if it was its first flight, but fun to see it leave the nest!!

General Comments: Adult and nestling present. Neatly moving around and exercising wings. No feeding observed.

Other Activity: Not sure what is going on at this nest. No young were visible, and no adults were present for about 20 minutes. Then . Two adults flew over the nest. One landed on the nest briefly and appeared to rearrange the sticks. Then it perched on a nearby nest., and flew off after about 10 minutes.

General Comments: I doubt there are nestlings.

Other Activity: One adult was on the perch near the nest, and 1 adult and 2 nestlings/fledglings were perched in the nest. The young look almost adult size, but were not observed flying.
