For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Two fledglings observed in nest. One flew off and landed on the nearby radio tower.
Observation Method: Parked in Rt 107 pull-out / used scope & binoculars for viewing. The cut in the fencing has been closed - forcing observation from in front of my vehicle. (YIKES!)

Other Activity: Adult left after a few minutes. A nestling stretched a wing from down in the nest then retreated again. Couldn't tell if the other nestling was also below.

Other Activity: The fledgling flew over our front yard when I was at the kitchen window which overlooks the front yard. The fledgling flew past the house about 15 feet away at second story height. Up close and personal
