For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Squam on distant perch while Annie fed both chicks and herself. She left the nest at 5:43, followed by Squam. One fledgling flew and circled to the distant perch while the other tested its’ wings and hovered over the nest. Both fledglings were on the nest at 6pm.

Other Activity: Like clockwork, Bob brings in meals in the morning, noon and early evening. The fledglings make sure they are at the nest and they really tear into the fresh fish. Have not observed them bringing in any fish themselves.

Other Activity: 1 adult and 1 large nestling/fledgling standing at edge of nest. Don't know if the youngster has left the nest and come back or not. Had borrowed scope. Another adult left nest as I got there and soared over calling, then flew off.

Other Activity: Had borrowed scope. 2 fledglings on nest. No adults in sight. Standing upright and alert, almost statues except heads moved slightly!

General Comments: 1 perched on camp roof, 1 perched on camp piling, 1 landed on nest. the 2 on platform #2 were still there. I wasn't able to distinguish which were adults and which were fledglings.
