For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Only saw 1 Osprey on Perch on Nest. She moved into nest and at first I thought she was feeding but it was sporadic then she moved rather quickly back onto perch.

Other Activity: Male was sitting on the pole perch, and facing away from the nest.

Observation Method: On foot with binoculars.

General Comments: Female was sitting on the side of the nest rather than in the center as before, as if to make way for something (nestlings) that might be in the bottom area of the nest.

Other Activity: I observed one bird on the edge of the nest, looking into the nest for a while and calling to her mate. I saw him perched with a fish on a nearby sailboat mast. He waited there at least 15 mins. As I was leaving, he flew to the nest.

General Comments: I did not see the nestling ls this time but I think they are in there.

Other Activity: One adult was on the perch on the nest platform & the other was sitting in the nest. The one on the perch flew away & the one in the nest stood up. Then 2 pretty big chicks popped up & looked around.
