For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: Saw a pair on #9, as I do occasionally, on 04/23 at 5:00pm; hoping to see the regular pair on #04 at the same time, but no. I'm thinking this is the same pair going back and forth. they will lay eggs on #4.

General Comments: On arrival, two Ospreys were visible. One on perch and one sitting low in nest which is why I indicated incubating eggs as activity. I hope that is correct. During the half hour of observation, one Osprey was on high perch at all times seeming to watch me. On three occasions, one Osprey flew off only to the other side of the marsh (about 1/4 mile) and came back after only two minutes or so, flying low to the nest.

Other Activity: Two Osprey on and off platform all the time. They fly to the Island and then return back.

General Comments: Yesterday they were on and off platform all day long.
